Andrea Wallace
Andrea is the owner of The Beauty Bar as well as hairstylist and makeup artist. Before opening The Beauty Bar, Andrea had her own business exclusively for weddings, Artistry by Andrea Jane.
As winner of WeddingWire Couples’ Choice Awards every year since 2016, she’s bringing the same love, passion and beauty to The Beauty Bar.
Andrea was 15 years old when she started working in a salon as an assistant, and quickly fell in love with the beauty industry. After graduating from Paul Mitchell the School McLean, she worked as a stylist in a large salon outside of Washington DC.
Andrea is certified in SoCap Hair Extensions, Great Lengths Hair Extensions, Babe Hair Extensions, IBE Extensions, and HaloCouture Hair Extensions. She is also certified in Qiqi Hair Smoothing Treatments, Brazilian Blowouts, JZStyles in Beaded Row Wefts, and Temptu Airbrush Makeup. And she has taken advanced haircutting and coloring courses with Surface, Goldwell, Eufora, Davines, and KEVIN.MURPHY.
Monica
A Southern California native, Monica moved to Fernandina Beach in 2007. She is a licensed facial specialist, certified lash extension artist, and professionally trained makeup and airbrush artist. In 2016, Monica started her own business, Monica Hayes Makeup, where she specializes in makeup services that focuses on timeless, natural beauty makeup for all occasions. In 2019, she opened her own lash and brow studio located inside the Medi-Spa of Amelia and continues to see clients for these specialty services in that space.
Joining the team at The Beauty Bar has allowed Monica to bring her love of makeup and her joy of one-on-one client focus into a salon setting and offer a wide array of makeup services to clients. Her attention to detail makes every makeup application a custom experience for each client! Monica uses a combination of professional and boutique brands such as Sonia Roselli Beauty, Kett & Krylon Airbrush, Make UP For Ever, RCMA Makeup, Senna Cosmetics, and Urban Decay Cosmetics to name a few.
When Monica isn’t in front of the makeup chair or in her lash and brow studio, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Brent, her son, Alex, relaxing with a good book and traveling with friends.
