Originally from Jacksonville, Michelle got her first taste of the beauty industry by working as a receptionist at Salon D'Orsay. Little did she know that that position would forever change her life. She found the the hairstylist's passion, creativity and talent infectious and decided to attend American Academy of Cosmetology in Orange Park.
After graduating in 2011, Michelle assisted and shadowed 5 different stylists at Willow Organic Salon and Spa, discovering that her main focus would be to specialize in organic products and color that will not only be better for her clients and herself, but also for the environment. She believes that what goes on our scalp and skin are just as important to what we put in our bodies.
In early 2016 Michelle joined The Beauty Bar team and is accepting new clients. The beauty industry, which is forever changing and evolving, keeps Michelle on her toes driving her to learn new techniques, styles and trends.
Rachel Ashley is a Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist at The Beauty Bar.
An Orlando transplant, Rachel moved to the greater Jacksonville area in 2014. Since her relocation she has blossomed from a “makeup and blonde hair enthusiast” to a Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy graduate, licensed Cosmetologist, and professionally trained makeup artist. In 2016, Rachel started her own brand, Rachel Ashley Beauty, where she specializes in makeup services for television, commercial, film, beauty, and fantasy makeups.
Joining the team at The Beauty Bar has allowed Rachel to bring her love of makeup and on-set experience into a salon setting and offer a much larger list of hair and makeup services. Her attention to detail makes every highlight, color, and haircut a custom experience for each client!
When Rachel isn’t behind the chair, she enjoys spending time traveling with her husband, Wes, and their black lab, Kuleto.
Mariah has lived the nomadic Navy Brat lifestyle but claims Italy as her home. She knew from a young age that she wanted to be a hairstylist and it runs in her blood.
Fun fact! Her great grandfather was Yogi Berra’s barber and Mariah LOVES doing men’s clipper cuts - she even uses her great grandfather’s straight razor and it is one of her most prized possessions. Mariah loves doing fun fashion colors and balayages and is a huge fan of going on a journey with her clients to help them achieve their best hair. Mariah chose to attend Toni&Guy Hairdressing Academy in Jacksonville because of their heavy European influence and their value on education.
She is a mom to her pup Bentley and given the chance she will absolutely show you his picture and talk about him like the proud parent she is. Her hair color is almost always different so don’t be surprised if she’s pink one week and green the next!
